Bagira

Pastels on paper. About 3 hours.

This is sort of a tribute to "Mowgli", a Russian animation based on "The Jungle Book" by Kipling. The character designs in this animation are gorgeous and the environments are amazing. It was a lot of fun trying to emulate that style. I love Bagira in this cartoon. She's so powerful and feminine, and her design is great.

Reaper

My version of the Grim Reaper. I don't see Reaper as being evil, just doing its part in the circle of life. So I chose to make it a child. I figured if Death could take any form, it'd be interesting if it turned into someone the unsuspecting souls would not be terrified of. So it can do its job more easily, snatch them and lead them wherever it is they go.
